New Grant Opportunities for Emergency Food Programs (EFPs)
Food Bank of Central New York is offering grant opportunities funded through the Hunger Prevention and Nutrition Assistance Program (HPNAP) for the 2018-2019 grant period, which runs November 1, 2018-October 31, 2019. These are three different grant opportunities and require three separate applications.
Grants are awarded on a competitive basis. Submission of an application does not guarantee that your funding request will be granted. Specific instructions and eligibility for each grant are detailed in the grant guidance.
Food Bank must receive all applications before 4:30 pm on Friday, August 24, 2018. Late applications will not be accepted.
Food grant awards will be used by the Food Bank to establish a line of credit for emergency food programs to acquire nutritious foods, which will be available through the Food Bank.
Important Notice: The 2018-2019 food grant application will be submitted through an online form. Questions will be short answer or multiple choice. The application may take up to 30-45 minutes to complete. Once the application is started, you will need to complete all questions. You will not be able to edit or change responses once submitted. In the application you will need to provide general program information including estimate of out of pocket expenses spent on food, sources of funding used to purchase food, and the type of service and foods provided.
