In partnership with Feeding New York State and The Office of the Governor, Food Bank of Central New York is pleased to be able to offer the following opportunity for our emergency food partners in Central and Northern New York. The goal of the 2021 Transportation Fund is to support partner agencies and promote collaboration within Food Bank’s network to benefit emergency food clients by expanding the capacity of partner agencies to acquire and distribute food.
Grant & Award recipients may utilize the funds to pursue or expand home delivery to clients, increase abilities to acquire fresh product, increase collection of donated food items, or increasing the general inventory at the food pantry. Food Bank encourages you to work with other agencies to maximize the impact made by transporting foods. A full description of how you intend to use the funds is required.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until funds are exhausted. This application may be used to fund transportation related costs in the specific areas of:
- Leasing / Rental
- Insurance for lease or rented vehicles
- Fuel for leased or rented vehicles
All expenses must be incurred, paid, and documentation submitted to Food Bank of Central New York no later than December 2, 2021. Proper documentation and impact data will be requested of all awarded agencies.
This opportunity is open to HPNAP eligible food programs. If approved, awardees will be issued with a specific Award Notification & Grant Agreement that must be completed before funds can be issued.
