USDA Civil Rights Training
Per federal United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulations, all staff and volunteers at partner agency sites that receive food from The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) and directly interact with and/or serve guests must receive this training annually.
Training includes instruction on non-discrimination of the six federally protected classes (race, sex, color, age, national origin, and disability), elements of public notification and program compliance, and familiarization with the complaint process and procedures.
Agency coordinators will be responsible for ensuring compliance with this requirement and maintaining records that demonstrate proof of accomplished training (e.g. training log).
