Black Bean Brownies

Quirky, yet amazing recipe delivers deliciously dense, melt-in-your-mouth brownies!

Serves: 4 Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 30 minutes


  • 1 box brownie mix
  • 1 15 ounce can black beans (can substitute 15 ounce can of refried beans if a food processor is not available)


  1. Rinse beans well with water, leaving them in the can.
  2. Fill can of beans back up with water to just under the rim.
  3. Puree beans and water using a food processor or mixer.
  4. Combine bean mixture with brownie mix. (No need to add eggs, water, or oil.)
  5. Follow package directions for baking temperature and time.
