Wicked Witch of the West Halloween Bash

The Lyman Frank Baum Foundation, Inc. of Syracuse, in cooperation with the Marriott Syracuse Downtown, is excited to host the Wicked Witch of the West's Halloween Bash on Sunday, October 23, 2022 from 12:00-5:00 pm at the Marriott Syracuse Downtown's Persian Terrace Ballroom. Admission is free, donations are welcome. Bring a non-perishable food item to benefit the Food Bank!

Schedule of Events

12:00 pm

  • Lyman Frank Baum Foundation, Inc. welcomes and thank you's to all guests, sponsors and visitors, volunteers, and all hotel staff.
  • Meet Your Hostess: The Wicked Witch of the West, played by Teagan Brown
  • 2022 Golden Cap Award Winner is Mike Lykins
  • Syracuse Police Department: How to have a happy and safe Halloween
  • Syracuse Fire Department: Safety and fire prevention

12:00-1:30 pm

  • Girl Scout Leader, Katie Haberer, talks about the bake sale and more, and what achievements the Girl Scouts and Scouts BSA are accomplishing.
  • Silent Auction Begins
  • Wicked Witch of the West wants her sister's (silver shoes) back! This is like a lock up! Guess where the silver shoes are and the Witch will set you free. If you can't guess, you can bribe the Witch with your donation. Register your donation and get a number at the front door. Find the silver shoes and they are yours!

2:00 pm

  • Daniel Ciciarelli, 3rd Ward Councilman of the Town of Salina, tells us about the Town of Salina Museum together with the Lyman Frank Baum Foundation, Inc.
  • Happy 60th Anniversary to Baron Daemon!

3:30 pm

  • Raffle 50/50: Half to the winning number, the other half benefits Food Bank of Central New York
  • Silent Auction Winners
  • Wizard of Oz Costume Contest: Ages 5-11, 12-16, Adults, and Family

  • Wicked Witch of the West's Photo Spot

Your donation supports The Lyman Frank Baum Foundation, Inc., The Girl Scouts, Scouts BSA, and Food Bank of Central New York. Masks are optional.
