Monday, October 3, 2022

SYRACUSE, NY – On Friday, October 14 from 4:00 – 9:00 pm, members of the Madison County Farm Bureau will host the eighth annual Farm Bureau Takeover Night in support of Food Bank of Central New York. This year’s event will be held at the Madison County Distillery. In support of the Food Bank, Madison County Distillery will donate 20% of sales and all tips collected during the event to the Food Bank. Attendees will be able to enjoy craft cocktails made with small-batch, high-quality spirits as well as a range of local brews and wines. Delicious Tex-Mex food will be available from the kitchen, featuring hand-picked recipes from the Basla Family recipe box.

“Food Bank of Central New York has a great partnership with the Madison County Farm Bureau for this event and throughout the year. The Madison County Farm Bureau Takeover event helps increase awareness about our mission while raising funds to help support our food acquisition and distribution efforts, with a focus on agricultural products,” said Karen Belcher, Executive Director of Food Bank of Central New York.

"The Madison County Farm Bureau is excited to partner with Madison County Distillery and Food Bank of Central New York to help bring awareness of agriculture and the impact it has on our everyday lives,” said Johanna Bossard, Promotion and Education Chair of the Madison County Farm Bureau. “The money raised at this event goes to support those struggling from food insecurity in our local areas and that is something that we at Farm Bureau are very proud of."

Madison County Distillery is situated on an 80-acre farm known as The Maples. They are an artisan distillery committed to excellence while using state-of-the-art German-engineered distilling equipment and local ingredients, including water from The Maples’ own natural limestone-filtered spring.
