Energy Savers CNY Partners with Food Bank of Central New York to Help Provide Nutritious Food to People Facing Hunger

Wednesday, March 30, 2022

SYRACUSE, NY – Food Bank of Central New York announced a new partnership today with Energy Savers CNY. Throughout 2022, Energy Savers CNY will donate a portion of every window they sell to the Food Bank. They have set a goal to donate $10,000, or enough to provide 30,000 meals into the community for our neighbors facing hunger.

“When I was a teenager, I was hungry. I moved from location to location and relied on food pantries in rural Madison County to help provide me with the nutritious food I needed to live,” said Don Shetler, owner of Energy Savers CNY. “I am thrilled to partner with the Food Bank to be able to help provide nourishment for others that find themselves in difficult situations, like I did.”

“Our partnership with Energy Savers will help provide nutritious foods like fresh produce, meats, dairy products, and other pantry staple items,” said Food Bank of Central New York Executive Director Karen Belcher. “Don’s life story is our mission in action. Our focus every day is to ensure those experiencing hunger in our communities have access to nutritious food. We are grateful for his support.”
