Fresh Foods

Food Bank of Central New York delivers fresh produce, dairy, and bread donated by area grocery stores on a daily basis to community organizations for immediate distribution to neighborhood residents.

The Fresh Foods program salvages food that would otherwise be discarded at grocery retailers and offers food insecure individuals the opportunity to receive fresh, nutritious food in their neighborhood.

Fresh Food distributions generally occur once a month at approximately 20 local partner agency sites across our 11-county service area. Distributions are open to all individuals in need of food. All food must be given away in a fair and non-discriminatory way. There is no fee or requirement to work in exchange for receiving food.
