Tops Friendly Markets will again host their annual Check Out Hunger campaign to raise funds for Food Bank of Central New York. From Sunday, January 26 through Saturday, February 15, thirty-three Tops Friendly Markets in central and northern New York will accept donations of $2, $3 and $5 at checkout lines throughout the Food Bank’s service area. The annual tear and scan campaign provides shoppers with a fast and easy way to make a difference in the fight against hunger.
“Check Out Hunger is a major fundraising campaign to allow us to continue to provide nutritious food to individuals and families in need. We are so grateful for TOPS to be a partner in helping to feed the hungry,” stated Kathleen Stress, executive director of the Food Bank.
“The monies that are raised during the Check Out Hunger Campaign will make feeding of the hungry a reality. We encourage our Associates and the Community to open up their hearts and help those less fortunate and say NO to hunger. TOPS Friendly Markets is committed to the communities we serve and blessed to have this wonderful opportunity to make a difference,” Kathleen Graim, Community Relations Specialist at Tops Friendly Markets, said.
