Food Bank of Central New York and Safelite AutoGlass® are pleased to announce their new partnership.  Safelite will have a booth at the NYS Fair near the Swine Building where Safelite employees will distribute information about their work while collecting monetary donations to support the hunger-relief mission of Food Bank of Central New York.  A small portion of the donations will also be shared with the Food Bank of the Southern Tier.

In addition to learning about the Safelite AdvantageTM and donating to the Food Bank, people at the NYS Fair will be able to enter to win a 46” television.  Any person that donates $20 or more at once will receive a special edition t-shirt, while supplies last.  Frank Watson, area sales manager at Safelite, has already secured $7,500 in donations from local insurance agents for the Food Bank.  These agencies will be displayed at the booth on the Wall of Charity.  In addition, the Safelite AutoGlass Charitable Foundation will match the first $2,500 in donations given at their booth at the NYS Fair.

“Partnerships like the one with Safelite allow for community collaboration while providing a basic need of feeding our neighbors. We are excited to kick off the relationship with Safelite at the NYS Fair as each dollar donated can provide 2.3 meals back into Food Bank’s service area,” stated Kathleen Stress, executive director of Food Bank of CNY.

“Safelite works in our communities every day, and with the help of local insurance agents that service these communities we are happy to be able to work with a very important organization like the Food Bank of Central New York’” said Frank Watson, Area Sales Manager, Safelite AutoGlass.
