PriceRite to Help Check Out Hunger

SYRACUSE, NY – PriceRite supermarkets will present customers with the opportunity to help eliminate hunger during their upcoming Check Out Hunger campaign. The campaign, hosted by PriceRite, begins October 20th and provides shoppers with a quick and easy way to help feed the hungry in their community.

From October 20 through December 28, 2013, PriceRite customers will have the option to donate $1, $3 or $5 at the register. Funds raised will support Food Bank of Central New York, the hub of the emergency food network and primary food supplier food to 261 food pantries, soup kitchens and emergency shelters throughout central and northern New York.

“No child should have to worry about where his next meal is coming from. Check out Hunger is a great way to reduce food insecurity for families in our community. We are so pleased that PriceRite has partnered with us to ensure that children and families have the nutritious food they need to live and grow,” stated Kathleen Stress, Food Bank’s executive director.

PriceRite’s Syracuse store is located at 1605 Erie Boulevard East, Syracuse, NY 13210.
