On Saturday, April 12, from 10am until 1pm, the Central New York Large-Scale Railway Society will host Family Train Day.  This event is free and fun for families with young children. It features a 20’x40’ large-scale model railroad with a floor-to-ceiling mountain, multiple trains, a sawmill, water mill, farm, stations, park, and much more. Trains of all kinds will be available for play, including Thomas.

The event is free to attend but families are encouraged to bring monetary and non-perishable food donations to support Food Bank of Central New York. Volunteers from the Food Bank will be at the event collecting these donations and with more information about their hunger-relief mission.

“Food Bank is happy to be part of Family Train Day. What a great day to have young children enjoy the nostalgia of trains while providing their families the opportunity to feed other families who may be struggling this season,” stated Kathleen Stress, Food Bank’s executive director.
