Bruce Springsteen has long been an avid supporter of Food Banks, and in advance of his August 29th show at Vernon Downs, the Grammy winning star has lent a hand to Food Bank of Central New York.  A special ticket package has been donated to the local not-for-profit to be auctioned off to the highest bidder, with all proceeds benefitting Food Bank of Central New York in their continued fight against hunger.  The ticket package will include four tickets to the show and pre-concert access to the E Street Lounge; a restricted area for touring personnel and band members.  The auction will be conducted via email and phone, and is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, and conclude on Friday, August 24, at precisely 9:00 a.m. EST.  Interested parties can find details about the auction, as well as the rules and regulations for bidding, at www.foodbankcny.org, or by contacting Lynn Hy at (315) 437-1899 x247.
