Doubletree Hotel by Hilton partners with Food Bank of Central New York

EAST SYRACUSE, NY (6/21/2012)  Doubletree Hotel by Hilton in Syracuse will be contributing funds from their room rates to Food Bank of Central New York throughout the summer season.  Guests staying at the hotel under the Community Partners rate will receive a discount of twenty percent on their room, and five dollars from the rate will be donated to the Food Bank.  The initiative will continue until Labor Day.  More information and access to the rate can be found here.

The Doubletree Hotel by Hilton’s commitment to the community is reflected by their continuing efforts to support charities and civic organizations.  The selection of Food Bank of Central New York as the beneficiary of the Community Partners donations comes from Doubletree Hotel by Hilton’s recognition of the ongoing struggle of individuals and families in need of food.  Tom Slater, Executive Director of Food Bank of Central New York, described the impact of the partnership, saying “The decision on the part of Doubletree Hotel by Hilton to support Food Bank of Central New York is greatly appreciated.  The work we do is only possible with the help of our partners in the community, and this initiative will be an asset as we continue our fight against hunger.”
