Q: How will I raise $500 for the Food Bank to obtain a bib?
A: There are a variety of ways that one can use to fundraise for a charity bib.  Options will be discussed with you when you contact our offices with options ranging from mail, phone and online donations from your family, friends and coworkers. The minimum request is $500, we ask that your continue to fundraise past the minimum amount to provide increased funds for Food Bank to feed the hungry.

Q: How will I obtain the bib once the money has been raised?
A: After verification of funds, the Food Bank will provide you with registration information for your charity bib.

Q: How will I know if I have been chosen to be able to participate in the program?
A: Food Bank staff will accept and return phone calls in the order in which they are received.  All bibs will be reserved accordingly once the program participant commits to a minimum donation of $500.  

Q: Why would I choose the Food Bank to support?
A: Last year, Food Bank of Central New York distributed 13,420,441 pounds of food.  This food became 11,183,701 meals or enough food for 30,640 meals every day.  Food Bank staff focuses on nutritious food acquisition and distribution as well as nutrition education in their 11 county service area of central and northern New York.

Food Bank of Central New York has been chosen to receive 20 charity bibs for the 2015 Boilermaker Road Race!










To be part of the Food Bank's charity bib team, each participant must pledge to raise at least $500 for the organization in return for a guaranteed spot in the Boilermaker. Participants may choose between the 15k and 5k races or the 3-mile walk. All proceeds are to benefit Food Bank of Central New York's hunger-relief mission. All charity bibs are non-transferable and non-deferrable.

This year we have partnered with the New York State Beef Council to provide exciting new incentives for the bib program! Not only will the top Food Bank fundraisers receive prizes, but three individuals who agree to raise more that $750 will receive a second bib for a family member or friend to run in the 2015 Boilermaker Road Race.

Interested parties should visit the Food Bank's page on crowdrise to create their fundraiser and register for the Boilermaker.

The Food Bank has a total of 15 bibs available for runners that will donate or fundraise at least $500.  All monies raised through the Boilermaker Charity Bib Program will be used to support food acquisition and distribution, nutrition education and advocacy initiatives of the Food Bank in our eleven-county service area of central and northern New York.  - See more at:
