Other Ways To Help

"RENEW AMERICA TOGETHER"

Beginning on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 19th, the Food Bank of Central New York  will ask community members to participate in “Skip a Lunch , Feed Our Community“ as a part of President-elect Obama's and Vice President-elect Biden's "Renew America Together" initiative.

The "Renew America Together" initiative, calls on Americans of all ages to participate in community service, begins on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Monday, January 19th, to honor the legacy of a man who lived his life in service to others. On the eve of the Inauguration, thousands of community service events will take place in Washington and all across the country.

We are calling on those who are committed to making a difference in their local  communities by bringing hope to Americans through change. This day of service is the first offical call to action for the American public , and we are hopeful many will chose to help feed the hungry in their communities.
