Advocacy 101

Advocacy can seem complicated and intimidating, but it does not have to be.  There are some basic rules that anyone can follow, and everyone – including the least experienced – can learn to be effective.

We’ve created the following resources to serve as an introduction and reference guide to help you become an effective advocate.  Feel free to share these materials far and wide.  If you should have any questions or want any further support, contact Beth Slater, Public Affairs Officer, at bslater@foodbankcny.org or (315) 437-1899 x229.

Advocate for a Change [PDF]   This brochure offers a basic overview of the advocacy work at the Food Bank of Central New York and ways for people to get involved.  Feel free to copy and share this brochure.
